Hi Mike,

So, are you saying that I can upload into the LNM OS Library installation files from the media disk of Windows Vista? And that I may perform an unattended deployment of Windows Vista?
Because from the LNM Web Console I can choose just Windows XP and Windows FLP.

Thank you in advance.
Hi all,
same problem here, it's impossible to install raid drivers.

When I try to use the drivers on my LNM installation CD (with the F6-funktion), the system tells me that it can´t read the nvraid.sys driver.
There is no problem when I boot on a Windows 2003 sp1 cd and use the same driver.
I was told that the LNM 1.4.1 was build on a XP boot system, but I'm using XP raid drivers,
Any tips ?
Hi all,

In Italy we need to localize LNM to deploy an italian version of Windows Server 2003 and of Windows XP Professional with SP2. hi,
I have a problem with the LNM 1.4.1 and new servers from HP and Dell.
The problem is that the RAID driver the hardware producers deliveres is for Windows2003 SP1 server.
When I try to use the drivers on my LNM installation CD (with the F6-funktion), the system tells me that is can´t read the importent .sys driver.
There is no problem when I boot on a Windows 2003 sp1 cd and use the same driver.
I was told that the LNM 1.4.1 was build on a XP boot system, Is it posible to change it, so it use a Windows 2003 SP1 server boot system instat.

With best reguards
Karl Aage Juhl
There has been some confusion regarding built-in/mandatory Vista support in LNM.

In previous versions of LNM, there were fixed desktop profiles because there was native support for a pre-defined OS. In version 1.4.1 this native support was removed, and the concept of a dynamic desktop profile was introduced so you can select Windows XP, Vista, Windows98 or other Windows OS to which you have appropriate licenses.
It is quite refreshing to see that this is still under development. Is there a roadmap that can be discussed to allow for migration to Vista and Longhorn for Server 2003 / Server 2003 R2 / XP Pro administrators?
I look after the network at a secondary (k-12) school with ~1500 users and ~475 clients where we are refreshing our w2k AD servers, network infrastructure and operations to leverage w2k3 server including NAP and high availability as well as improve the day-to-day administration of the servers and network.

I am currently considering a deployment of LNM and have some questions regarding the scaling out referred to in the Deployment Guide.

We want to build a prototype of a scaleable, fault-tolerant and highly available test environment as a next step. Our test environment will comprise 3 x identical W2K3 Ent. Machines with Fibre-channel SAN - pretty much a 3-node version of the diagram on p141 of the deployement guide.

I am looking for a how-to install guide or tips for setting up this type of environment. I have scoured the LNM Install guide without finding anything about clustering.

If anyone could provide brief details or refer me to any other KB's or articles it would be most appreciated.

For example: Do we perform 3 LNM installs then use MSCS to cluster or do we build a 3 node MSCS cluster then load LNM?

Thanks in advance.
Ultimately, it's our goal to get that under the Source Code tab, but since that won't happen this week, I thought I'd at least post the source code somewhere.
